Ms. Cook, 

I received your message regarding adding a stop sign on Smiley Street at the

intersection of Smiley and Chauncey. A work order has been filed with our street 

and police departments for three new stop signs on Smiley Street. There will be 

stop sign on the east side of Vine St. on Smiley and both the east and west 

sides of Chauncey Ave. on Smiley Street. 

If you have additional questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to call our 

office for information. The next traffic commission meeting will be held on 

Tuesday, September 20th at 5:00 pm in the lower level conference room of City 

Hall. Public comments are welcome at the beginning of the meeting. If you have 

additional information or wish to present another option to the committee you 

can do so at that time, the committee would then discuss the options and 

complete traffic and speed counts or gather any other data they find necessary. 

They will also inform you at that time what other information and/or data they 

will need from you.
