As the summer
construction season winds down, kudos to the city of West Lafayette for
its work on the east side of our near-campus neighborhood.
The
completion of the River Road trail, the new Rose Street entrance to
Happy Hollow Park, and the Community Development Block Grant work on
curbs and sidewalks in the New Chauncey neighborhood have made the
neighborhood both safer and more attractive.
As work continues on historic preservation and targeted near-campus redevelopment, here’s hoping this good work will continue.
